Complete revision of the material flow concept in the shipping area of Ravensburg Spieleverlag GmbH. The new powerful conveyor technology from GEBHARDT achieves a throughput of up to 1,200 cartons per hour.
A Holistic Solution Across Different Warehouse Areas
The new shipping department includes the bulk pack and pick & pack areas. In view of the economic considerations, freeing up space in the existing building for storage in order to dispense with an external warehouse operated today was the top priority.
The PLC system control, the material flow computer and a system visualization were realized. The dispatch processing was connected to the existing WMS.
To ensure that the material flow maintains its high availability, a number of emergency strategies have been integrated. The scope of delivery includes a 2D visualization of the entire plant, on which any faults are immediately displayed. Remote maintenance and online access are also implemented.
