Award-Worthy – the new GEBHARDT CHEETAH® miniload
Sinsheim, 15 May 2012 – For miniloads in automated small part stores acceleration, speed and delivery times are of prime importance. With its new miniload CHEETAH® GEBHARDT sets new standards: As the name suggests, it is extremely fast and thanks to the use of innovative materials very lightweight. Due to this lightweight design, it produces the best values in dynamics and geometry – characteristics for which CHEETAH® was nominated at the Industry Award 2012 as one of the best products of the year in the category intralogistics & production management.
The Industry Award was initiated in 2006 by the Huber Verlag für Neue Medien GmbH. Nominations will be industrial products from medium-sized and owner-managed companies, which are characterized by a high level of technical, economic, ecological or social value. An independent jury of 30 scientists and journalists evaluates submitted applications, this year more than 500 in 14 categories. The VDI and the German Country Niedersachsen held the sponsorship this year. The awarding at the HANNOVER FAIR additionally emphasizes the importance of the Industry Award for the promotion of strong German industrial companies.
“For Gebhardt Fördertechnik the nomination at the Industry Award is an extraordinary feedback,” says Marco Gebhardt, CEO of the GEBHARDT Fördertechnik GmbH. The reason: The CHEETAH® miniload has just been developed and placed on the market and has already received such an award. “Who is faster?” – That was the target of the GEBHARDT engineers for the development of the new miniload type CHEETAH®. A multi-material mixture of composite, steel and aluminum, which is normally only used in the automotive, aerospace and sailing construction, ensures that the weight of the CHEETAH® is very low. Coupled with an intelligent energy management an outstanding energy efficiency is inherent in the CHEETAH®.
