GEBHARDT opens new production facility in Sinsheim-Dühren

Last Friday the management of the GEBHARDT Intralogistics Group opened the new industrial park of the intralogistics manufacturer in the industrial area "Hinter der Mühle" in Sinsheim-Dühren in the presence of Mayor Jörg Albrecht and the representatives of the commissioned general contractor Zapf Gewerbebau.

Just about a year after the ground-breaking ceremony, the new production facility, including office space, was put into operation with an area of 4,000 m². The continuous growth of GEBHARDT was the decisive factor for the acquisition of an approximately five-hectare area, as the main location in Sinsheim no longer had sufficient open space for further production halls.

In the next few days, the work areas for shuttles, storage and retrieval machines as well as telescopic belt and vertical conveyors will be built there. In the new hall, GEBHARDT focused on innovative industry 4.0 standards and attaches particular importance to networking and digitalisation. For example, internal transports are handled by autonomous, mobile robots, which are also further developed and manufactured in the new production hall.
