Heidenhain trusts in intralogistics from GEBHARDT Fördertechnik

Sinsheim, 7th May 2012 – The DR. JOHANNES HEIDENHAIN GmbH, is one of the leading manufacturer of measurement and control technology, and the site in Traunreut chose GEBHARDT to realize their most recent production expansion plan.

“Our conveyor system at HEIDENHAIN forms the intermediate buffer for the production. This provides and disposes the individual production areas with components and parts”, explained Fritz Gebhardt, managing partner of the GEBHARDT Fördertechnik GmbH. The extensive material handling system, with which totes and pallets can be transported and stored, mainly contains of lifting beam devices with the associated continuous conveyors and tote/carton transport technology as well as a pallet conveyor- and –storage system with suitable storage and retrieval crane. GEBHARDT delivers besides the mechanical components also software and control, that enables a high level of availability operations.

The DR. JOHANNES HEIDENHAIN GmbH develops and manufactures measurement devices and numerical controls, which are primarily used in high-precision machine tools as well as in plants for the production and processing of electronic components. So HEIDENHAIN products creates the groundwork for the automation of tomorrow’s plants and production machines. The production will be expanded through a multi-storey building.
