A Sunny Day Out on the Green as the Richard Lawes Memorial Golf Day Returns

GEBHARDT Intralogistics UK’s charity golf tournament took place on 11 July 2025 to raise money for a Nottinghamshire hospice.

Over the last 4 years, GEBHARDT Intralogistics UK has hosted an annual golf event to raise money for Hayward House hospice in Nottinghamshire. The tournament was created to honour the memory of their former Installation and Servicing Manager, Richard Lawes.

Sadly, Richard passed away in 2018 due to terminal illness. In the final stage of his life, Richard was due to spend time at Hayward House, a specialist palliative care unit. Hayward House is known not only for the compassionate care it provides to patients but also for the invaluable support it offers to their families.

During his lifetime, Richard was a keen golfer and the Junior Captain at the Radcliffe-On-Trent Golf Club. After his passing, our UK team felt inspired to start a charity event to continue his bright, altruistic legacy.

This year’s event saw 27 teams take to the green to compete in an 18-hole Stableford tournament. After a day of close-knit competition and even a hole-in-one, a winning team was crowned.

Congratulations to MKM Building Supplies, who took first place in the main competition. Second place went to Blackburn Starling, third to SES and fourth to Beers, Wings and Birdies.

Also, congratulations to the following winners:
Pink Ball Competition – Blackburn Starling
Longest Drive – David Pitt of John Scott Works
Nearest the Pin – Phil Lewis, Ryan Leddle, Ian Wheately, Chris King
