GEBHARDT Intralogistics UK Raises Money for Charity Through Memorial Golf Tournament
GEBHARDT Intralogistics UK invites local businesses to join them for a charity golf tournament on 19th July 2024.
Intralogistics solutions provider GEBHARDT Intralogistics UK recently stopped by Hayward House Hospice in Nottingham to present them with a donation of £5,000. The money was raised through their annual charity event, The Richard Lawes Memorial Golf Day. The event was created to honour the memory of their former colleague, Richard Lawes, who sadly passed away in 2018 from a terminal illness.
Hayward House is a specialist palliative care unit on the grounds of Nottingham City Hospital. The hospice provides high quality care to patients with life-limiting conditions and support for their families.
‘We are so grateful for this donation from the GEBHARDT community for the benefit of Hayward House’ says Charity Stow, Community and Corporate Fundraiser for Nottingham Hospitals Charity.
‘This donation will go towards things like; improvements to the garden and welcome area to make the environment at Hayward House as calming as possible, additional nursing posts and a complementary therapy service in the centre. These facilities make a huge difference to staff, patients and their families and all those who attended the Golf Tournament have helped us to continue this important work – thank you.’
The next Richard Lawes Memorial Golf Day will take place at The Radcliffe-on-Trent Golf Club on 19 July 2024. Local businesses can take part by entering a team of four to compete in an 18-hole Stableford competition or by sponsoring the event. GEBHARDT Intralogistics UK will also be holding a raffle on the day and welcome any contributions to prizes.
